Gooey Chocolate Biscuits

Hello People…..in case you don’t know I love chocolate, oh and while i’m on it I like biscuits too! So it seemed the perfect choice to attempt to bake chocolate biscuits after I found the recipe in Jamie Oliver’s Happy Days book -http://www.jamieoliver.com/books/happy-days-naked-chef-book

I actually found this pretty tricky – in fact the hardest part was making the dough and rolling it out (if I didn’t edit that bit the video would have gone on for hours!!). Even once that was done I was left with a lot less dough than the recipe suggests!

Don’t be fooled by the picture of the smiley kid trying to make the biscuits, the dough can be very frustrating and you’ll need loads of spare flour to prevent it breaking up! But maybe this is my lack of experience in baking and a kid could do it better!

Ultimately though it was worth it in the long run and they came out pretty good – goey and all…. even managing to make “Barry’s chocolate balls” with the leftover dough! The one thing I would advise is to keep them in an air tight tub once done – otherwise they turn into chocolate boulders!
