Strawberry Lemonade
This is will open your eyes to how much sugar is in lemonade – strawberry lemonade in fact!!
You need strawberries, 4 lemons, 3/4 cup of sugar (lots of it) and a pinch of salt.
First get all the juice from the lemons (press them through a sieve). Then add 4 cups of water into a pan and pour in your sugar…….followed by your strawberries. I used my potato masher to help squish them up during cooking. The sugar should all dissolve into a red pulp with the heat. Let it cool down in the fridge… during which time you can play find the cow with your old lemon pieces. Next take the strawberry pulp out of the fridge and pour it through a sieve to get rid of the seeds and co. Mix in your lemon mix and give it a stir. And that’s it! This will taste great in the summer, just try to not think about the sugar content!
